Ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 burger buns
  • 1 tbsp butter (for toasting buns)
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Onion slices
  • Ketchup or mayonnaise (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Divide the beef into two equal portions and shape into patties.
  4. Cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side until desired doneness.
  5. Place a slice of cheese on each patty and let it melt.
  6. Lightly butter and toast the burger buns.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing patties on buns and adding lettuce, tomato, onion, and sauces as desired.
