Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 230°C (450°F).
- Pour melted butter into an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Stir in buttermilk until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips gently.
- Spread biscuit dough evenly over melted butter (do not mix).
- Score dough into 9 squares before baking.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before serving.
