Description

Condensed Milk Cake is a soft, moist, and buttery cake with a rich milky flavor. Made with just a few simple ingredients, this easy cake is perfect for tea time or as a sweet base for fruit and cream toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8-inch round cake pan or loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together condensed milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and whisk gently until fully incorporated.
  5. Stir in melted butter until the batter is smooth and glossy.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • This cake tastes even better the next day as the condensed milk flavor deepens.
  • Top with whipped cream, berries, or a drizzle of caramel for an elegant dessert.
  • For a citrus twist, add 1 teaspoon of lemon or orange zest to the batter.
