Description

A cozy, protein-packed grilled steak bowl with tender zucchini, fluffy grains, and simple seasonings for a satisfying and wholesome meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) sirloin or ribeye steak
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 medium zucchinis, sliced
  • 2 cups cooked rice or quinoa
  • 1 tbsp butter (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or rosemary (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  2. Rub steak with 1 tablespoon olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Grill steak 4–5 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
  4. Remove steak from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  5. Toss zucchini with remaining olive oil and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  6. Grill zucchini 2–3 minutes per side until tender with grill marks.
  7. Divide cooked rice or quinoa into bowls.
  8. Top with sliced steak and grilled zucchini.
  9. Add butter and fresh herbs if desired and serve warm.

  • Swap zucchini for asparagus or bell peppers if preferred.
