Description
Flaky crescent dough bites filled with a creamy sweet cream cheese mixture and tangy cranberry sauce, perfect for holidays or easy appetizers.
Ingredients
- 1 (8 oz) tube crescent roll dough
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole cranberry sauce
- 1 tbsp orange zest (optional)
- 1 tbsp melted butter (optional, for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a mini muffin tin.
- Unroll the crescent dough and cut into 24 small squares.
- Press each dough square into the cups of the mini muffin tin.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Spoon a small amount of the cream cheese mixture into each dough cup.
- Add a dollop of cranberry sauce on top of the cream cheese layer.
- Sprinkle orange zest over the filling, if using.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the crescent dough is golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before removing from the pan and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- You can substitute whole berry cranberry sauce with homemade cranberry relish.
- Add chopped pecans for extra crunch.
- These bites are best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated in the oven.
