Description

Creamy Garlic Parmesan Cabbage is a comforting dish made with tender cabbage simmered in a rich garlic cream sauce and finished with savory Parmesan cheese. It works perfectly as a cozy side dish or a satisfying vegetarian main.


Ingredients

  • 1 medium green cabbage, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • 1/4 cup vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add chopped cabbage and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring, until slightly softened.
  4. Pour in vegetable broth and cover; simmer for 10 minutes until cabbage is tender.
  5. Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream.
  6. Add Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and nutmeg if using.
  7. Simmer uncovered for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  8. Remove from heat, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
