Description

Dump-and-Bake Chicken Parmesan is an easy one-dish meal where chicken, marinara sauce, pasta, and cheese are combined and baked together for a simple, comforting dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups uncooked penne or rotini pasta
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups chicken broth or water
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, diced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh basil (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. In a 9×13-inch baking dish, combine uncooked pasta, marinara sauce, and chicken broth.
  3. Stir in diced chicken, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Cover tightly with foil.
  5. Bake for 35–40 minutes until pasta is tender and chicken is cooked through.
  6. Remove foil and stir gently.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
  8. Add breadcrumbs if using.
  9. Bake uncovered for 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

  • Ensure dish is tightly covered to cook pasta properly.
  • Use freshly grated cheese for better melting.
