Ingredients

  • 8 oz (225 g) chow mein noodles or spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup carrots, julienned
  • 1/2 cup bean sprouts
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper


Instructions

  1. Cook chow mein noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add cabbage and carrots; stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until slightly tender.
  5. Add bean sprouts and green onions and cook for 1 minute.
  6. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and black pepper.
  7. Add cooked noodles to the skillet.
  8. Pour sauce over noodles and toss everything together until well coated and heated through.
  9. Serve hot.
