Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 8 ounces penne or fettuccine pasta
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Season the chicken with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, then add to the skillet.
- Cook the chicken for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté the minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce thickens.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Add the cooked pasta and stir until everything is evenly coated and heated through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and smooth sauce texture.
- You can add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor and color.
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for the heavy cream.
