Description

Eggnog Gooey Butter Bars are rich, soft dessert bars with a buttery cake base and a creamy, custard-like eggnog filling infused with warm holiday spices, making them a festive and indulgent treat.


Ingredients

  • For Crust:
    • 1 box yellow cake mix
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 1 large egg
  • For Filling:
    • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1/2 cup eggnog
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix cake mix, melted butter, and egg until a soft dough forms.
  3. Press dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  4. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
  5. Add eggs, eggnog, melted butter, vanilla extract, and nutmeg; mix until combined.
  6. Gradually beat in powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  7. Pour filling evenly over the crust.
  8. Bake for 40–45 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly gooey.
  9. Cool completely before slicing into bars.

Notes
