Description

Juicy, tender steak bites tossed with cheese tortellini in a rich garlic butter sauce — a quick, flavorful, and indulgent dinner that tastes like a restaurant meal made at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 (9-ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook tortellini according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Pat steak pieces dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Stir in Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes (if using), then add cooked tortellini and toss to coat in the garlic butter sauce.
  6. Return the steak to the skillet and toss everything together until heated through and coated evenly in the sauce.
  7. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra richness, add a splash of heavy cream or a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.
  • Use any type of tortellini — cheese, spinach, or meat-filled all work well.
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan when searing the steak; work in batches for the best browning.
  • Pairs beautifully with a side salad or garlic bread.
