Description
Juicy, tender steak bites tossed with cheese tortellini in a rich garlic butter sauce — a quick, flavorful, and indulgent dinner that tastes like a restaurant meal made at home.
Ingredients
- 1 pound sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 (9-ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook tortellini according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Pat steak pieces dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes (if using), then add cooked tortellini and toss to coat in the garlic butter sauce.
- Return the steak to the skillet and toss everything together until heated through and coated evenly in the sauce.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For extra richness, add a splash of heavy cream or a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.
- Use any type of tortellini — cheese, spinach, or meat-filled all work well.
- Don’t overcrowd the pan when searing the steak; work in batches for the best browning.
- Pairs beautifully with a side salad or garlic bread.
