Ingredients
- 200 g dark chocolate, chopped
- 150 g unsalted butter
- 200 g granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 100 g all-purpose flour
- 30 g cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a square baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the dark chocolate and butter together using a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth.
- Add sugar to the melted chocolate mixture and mix well.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow brownies to cool completely, then use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out brownies.
Notes
- Do not overbake to keep brownies fudgy.
- Chill brownies slightly before cutting for cleaner shapes.
- Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with chocolate for decoration.
