Holiday Pigs in a Blanket are a festive appetizer made with savory cocktail sausages wrapped in buttery crescent roll dough and baked until golden, perfect for parties and holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 package (12 oz) cocktail sausages
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
- 1 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)
- Honey mustard or ketchup for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles.
- Cut each triangle lengthwise into 2–3 smaller strips.
- Wrap each strip of dough around a cocktail sausage, stretching slightly to cover.
- Place the wrapped sausages seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush lightly with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds if using.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Serve warm with dipping sauces.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sprinkle the dough with everything bagel seasoning.
- These can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated until baking.
