Description

Light, crispy, and golden sweet pastry twists coated in sugar, perfect as an irresistible treat for tea time or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Brush the surface evenly with melted butter.
  4. Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the pastry.
  5. Cut the pastry into strips about 1 inch wide.
  6. Twist each strip gently and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15–18 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven and cool slightly.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.

Notes

  • Best served warm and fresh.
  • You can add chocolate spread or jam before twisting for variation.
