Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine cooked macaroni, milk, and shredded cheddar cheese. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika until just combined.
  4. Press half of the meat mixture into the bottom of the loaf pan.
  5. Spoon the mac and cheese mixture evenly over the meat layer.
  6. Top with the remaining meat mixture, sealing edges.
  7. Spread ketchup on top if using.
  8. Bake for 45–55 minutes until cooked through.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the meat to keep meatloaf tender.
  • Use sharp cheddar for stronger flavor.
