Description

A creamy, flavorful chicken dish cooked in a sun-dried tomato Parmesan sauce—so delicious it’s said to inspire marriage proposals.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the pan.
  5. Pour in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, thyme, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Stir and bring to a simmer.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet, reduce heat, and simmer for 10–12 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

  • Serve over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes to soak up the sauce.
  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Bone-in chicken thighs may be used with a slightly longer cooking time.
