Description
A simple and delicious pecan pie dump cake made by layering pecan pie filling, cake mix, and butter for an easy, irresistible dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 cans (21 oz each) pecan pie filling
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread the pecan pie filling evenly across the bottom of the dish. Stir in vanilla and cinnamon if using.
- Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the filling.
- Top with chopped pecans.
- Pour melted butter evenly over the entire surface.
- Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- Cool slightly before serving. Serve warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
- For extra richness, add an additional 1/2 cup of pecans on top.
- Serve warm for the best flavor and texture.
- You can substitute butter pecan cake mix if desired.
