Description
An easy, crowd-pleasing pecan pie dump cake with gooey pecan filling and a buttery cake topping baked into a rich, comforting dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 can (21 oz) pecan pie filling
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, evaporated milk, vanilla extract, and pecan pie filling.
- Pour mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over the filling (do not stir).
- Sprinkle chopped pecans over the cake mix.
- Drizzle melted butter evenly over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes until golden and set.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
- Do not mix the layers for best texture.
