A festive twist on the classic espresso martini, blended with peppermint flavor for a refreshing, holiday-inspired cocktail.
Ingredients
- 2 oz vodka
- 1 oz coffee liqueur (such as Kahlúa)
- 1 oz freshly brewed espresso, cooled
- 1/2 oz peppermint schnapps
- 1/2 oz simple syrup (optional, to taste)
- Crushed candy canes (for rim)
- Ice
- Fresh mint or mini candy cane for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Lightly wet the rim of a martini glass and dip it into crushed candy canes. Set aside.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Add vodka, coffee liqueur, cooled espresso, peppermint schnapps, and simple syrup if using.
- Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until chilled and frothy.
- Strain into the prepared martini glass.
- Garnish with a mint sprig or a mini candy cane.
Notes
- Use freshly brewed espresso for the best crema and flavor.
- Adjust peppermint schnapps to make it more or less minty.
- Chill the glasses ahead of time for an extra cold drink.
