Description

A fun and hearty breakfast casserole combining fluffy eggs, savory sausage, and buttery crescent rolls, baked together for an easy crowd-pleasing morning dish.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 lb (450 g) breakfast sausage links or cocktail sausages
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Cooking spray or butter for greasing


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cut crescent roll dough into strips and wrap each sausage like pigs in a blanket.
  3. Arrange wrapped sausages evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  5. Pour egg mixture evenly over the sausages.
  6. Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the top.
  7. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes until eggs are set and the top is golden.
  8. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with maple syrup or honey for dipping.
  • You can use mini hot dogs or breakfast sausage links.
