Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked jasmine or basmati rice
- 1 cup fresh or canned pineapple chunks, drained
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp chopped green onions
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
- Add onion and sauté until softened.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add pineapple chunks and cook for 2–3 minutes.
- Stir in cooked rice, breaking up any clumps.
- Add soy sauce, sugar, and black pepper; toss well to combine.
- Cook for 3–4 minutes until rice is heated through.
- Garnish with green onions and cilantro if desired.
- Serve warm.

- Use day-old rice for best texture.
