Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in egg, almond extract, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheet and gently flatten.
  7. Press sliced almonds lightly into the tops.
