Description

Tiramisu Cake is a luxurious dessert that transforms the classic Italian tiramisu into a layered cake, featuring coffee-soaked sponge layers, creamy mascarpone filling, and a dusting of cocoa powder.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups brewed strong coffee, cooled
  • 2 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 16 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for filling)
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, cream butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture until smooth.
  6. Divide batter evenly between pans and bake for 25–30 minutes. Cool completely.
  7. Combine cooled coffee and coffee liqueur.
  8. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  9. Gently fold mascarpone into the whipped cream.
  10. Place one cake layer on a serving plate and brush generously with coffee mixture.
  11. Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the layer.
  12. Top with second cake layer, brush with coffee, and frost with remaining cream.
  13. Dust the top generously with cocoa powder before serving.

Notes
