Description
A creamy, rich white garlic pizza sauce made with butter, garlic, and milk—perfect as a flavorful alternative to traditional red sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30–45 seconds until fragrant.
- Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux.
- Gradually whisk in milk and heavy cream, stirring constantly.
- Cook until the sauce thickens, about 3–5 minutes.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before spreading on pizza dough.
Notes
- Sauce will thicken more as it cools.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.
- Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
